The Brainerd Church was organized in April of 1931, meeting at that time at the Sunnyside School with nineteen members. Subsequently, it grew and moved to the corner of Tally Road and Brainerd Road. Then later moved to the corner of Tuxedo and Brainerd Road. The nine hundred seat auditorium at this address was completed in 1965 and was first occupied in January of 1966.
Today at Brainerd Church we have a two congregations; English and Spanish speaking worship services. Our Latio Minister, Marco Diaz, is conducting a Ministry Training course to prepare young Latinos to spread the gospel message. There was a Chattanooga newspaper article about this training in 2005.
